|White Jeans FOR THE WIN (and I’m naming a new MUST HAVE)!|
|Sheaffer Told Me To|
Today I’m talking about white jeans. And wedges. When Nordstrom reached out and asked me to talk about an item or items in my Spring uniform, I knew exactly what I wanted to highlight. There are two things that I’m wearing in all 3 of the outfits in today’s post, and they are definitely staples for me. My white jeans are one of the most worn items in my closet, and I know that some of you love your white jeans just as much as I love mine. For those that already have and love them, then today will give you some outfit ideas! I also know that lots of you are scared of white jeans. #butyouneedtotrustme I’m hoping today’s outfits and my review of my white jeans will inspire you to give them a try. #dontbeskeered I wear my white jeans all year long (to heck with old rules!), but they are in constant rotation in the Spring and Summer. Today you are going to get to see 3 outfits with my beloved white jeans (more details about them later in the post). OUTFIT #1 I mixed white, black, brown, and denim together. And I sprinkled in some gold and turquoise. And I liked it. A lot. $14 sunglasses / white tee / turquoise earrings / gold necklace/ must have denim jacket / white jeans / clutch / cognac wedges Get The Look For Yourself Here. Just click on the picture of the item(s) you are interested in: I’m not sure if I’ve ever worn this combo before, but I loved how clean and fresh it was. Let’s break down the whole outfit. I know lots of you are going to ask about the white tee…and if you need to wear a cami with it. WELL. I think most of you will want to wear a cami with it if you are wearing the white one it on it’s own. HOWEVER, if I’m wearing a military jacket, denim jacket, or cardi over the tee….I don’t wear a cami. For size reference, I do size up to a medium in these tees. I have several solids (none of the other colors need a cami), the navy stripe, and the red stripe. They are definitely my favorite tees, and a staple for me for sure. The clutch provided a great pop of black in the outfit, and I thought it was a bit of an unexpected addition. It’s on back order right now, but it’s totally worth the wait. The wooden ring is so chic, and I find myself pairing it with lots of different outfits from denim shorts to a little black dress (see it paired with the little black dress HERE). If you prefer a larger bag and an all neutral look, they just came out with this neutral tote that also has a wooden handle! It’s so cute! So let’s talk a bit about my white jeans…. I bought this particular pair of white jeans last year, and lucky y’all, they are back in stock this season! (I also have these from AG from many years ago that are non distressed that I love as well, if you are looking for a non-distressed pair.) These jeans are stretchy, they are comfy, they hug you in all the right places, and perhaps most importantly… they aren’t see thru. Oh wait, also of extreme importance is the fact that they are flattering as all get out. I have a 27 in the jeans, so they are true to size for me. I’m encouraging you today, if you’ve always shied away from white jeans, GIVE THESE A TRY! For just $64, they could be your beloved white jeans too. Give them a shot! With free shipping AND free returns, what do you have to lose?!? I’ll tell you what you have to lose, a ton of great outfits with white jeans. And yes, 4 years later I still choose to rock this denim jacket. Like at least 3 times a week in the Spring. #noshame And it pairs perfectly with white denim. And skirts, and dresses, and colored denim, and black skinny jeans, and grey jeans, and army green cargo pants…..but I digress. It’s hard to tell about the necklace with the jacket on, but it’s this great free form shape, and it really added some punch to my outfit. And the earring’s y’all. They’re good. Really good. I scooped up the turquoise, but they also come in white, hot pink, and black. And let us not forget the sunglasses. I got them last year, and I like them so much I took them to a Favorite Things gift exchange. And the price tag? Wait for it. $14. #BAM $14 sunglasses / white tee / turquoise earrings / gold necklace/ must have denim jacket OUTFIT #2 After doing white on white, I went to the other side of the spectrum and paired my white jeans with this black peasant top. I kept on the same earrings, the same wedges, the same jeans, and the same clutch. I just changed out the tops for a completely different look. And as much as I loved the monochromatic thing I had going on above, I loved the contrast of the white and black just as much. black embroidered top/ turquoise earrings /$14 sunglasses / white jeans / clutch / cognac wedges Get The Look For Yourself Here: The top is loose and flowy, and it would totally hide a full belly of margaritas and guac. Which is definitely a requirement for some of my tops. It has a curved hem and some really cool embroidery along the neckline and sleeves. Even though this top is long sleeves, it’s easy and breezy…so this is a good choice for those of you that prefer not to show your arms, even in the hotter seasons. I told you the earrings are good. Not too heavy at all! And girls. THE WEDGES. Besides the white jeans, these are the other item in all 3 of my outfits today. And guess what…. I’ve decided to name the wedges a MUST HAVE!!! #cuethepartyhorns If you are new to the blog, the MUST HAVE status is reserved for only a small number of items. Past items that deserved the MUST HAVE STATUS (that are still in stock) include the denim jacket, the best bra, the best undies (you will seriously want to throw out all of your undies and replace them with these) the best strapless bra EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD(it’s a game changer), this tunic (I have it in black, wine, and olive green), these nude flats, and of course the blardigan. This is serious business to me, girls. Only the best of the best get named a MUST HAVE! So here’s the deal. I wanted to name the wedges a MUST HAVE the day I got them, but I knew I needed to give it a bit and make sure they were as comfy as I thought they were going to be before I encouraged everybody to get them for themselves. WELL, THEY ARE. After I walked all over tarnation in them, and after I received around 25 e-mails/comments from y’all saying that you love them too, I knew they for sure deserved the MUST HAVE status! They are true to size for me, but some readers that have wider feet have said that they sized up 1/2 a size. They are easy to walk in, look great with a variety of outfits, and are reasonably priced at just UNDER $80. Oh, and one more thing. They are DARLING. And they are now available in all of these colors. Click on the color you are interested in: OUTFIT #3 For my final outfit today, I decided to go with lots of color. I’m still wearing the same sunglasses, white jeans, and wedges…but I changed up my earrings and my top. And the top is fabulous. embroidered top / white beaded earrings / $14 sunglasses / white jeans / clutch is from last year (I can’t find a similar one anywhere! So sorry!)/ MUST HAVE wedges Get The Look For Yourself Here: Here’s a closer look at the top. It’s a loose and swingy fit with gorgeous and brightly colored embroidery. I love that the embroidery is on the sleeves as well, and the little pleats under the chest are such a nice addition. For size reference, I’m wearing a small, which is true to size for me. If I didn’t need the room in the chest, I might have been able to size down….but I definitely needed the room up top. I loved the whole look. I’m sorry to say my clutch is from last year, and I can’t find a similar one anywhere. I promise to keep looking! I’m really hoping these outfits today have convinced you white jean doubters out there that they really are a good idea! The white beaded earrings really pop with my dark hair, but they also come in royal blue, hot pink, orange, yellow, and turquoise! They aren’t super heavy, so I was able to wear them for the whole day with no issues. I can’t say enough nice things about the top…. The detail and the colors are both so gorgeous! It’s more than I usually pay for a top, but I think that some special tops are worth it. I got one like this from the same maker last year, but shorter and in white….and I wore it all summer long. And got compliments all summer long. I’ve already worn this one twice. The second time I wore it much more casually at the ranch this past weekend with my cut offs (true to size) and my flat cognac sandals (size up 1/2 a size). Also, you can wear it out, or you can do a 1/2 tuck with it. A huge thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring today’s post. I hope you enjoyed it! Which look was your favorite today? #1 (white on white with denim jacket), #2 (white, black, and brown), or #3 (festive and colorful)? Sound off in the comments, ladies! And if you have the MUST HAVE wedges, leave your thoughts! Do you agree with their new MUST HAVE status?!?
